When choosing a concrete company for your project, you should always ensure that they are certified and reliable. The easiest way to know that a concrete company is certified and reliable is by checking that they are BSI certified.
The BSI Kitemark is the gold standard for quality in the construction industry. To have the BSI Kitemark, we are required to pass regular assessments/audits and quality testing to ensure our manufacturing process meets the required high standard. Spot On Concrete is proud to be a BSI Kitemark certified company, holding the BSEN206-1, BS8500 1&2, ISO9001 and Constructionline accreditation.
Spot On Concrete is one of the largest, most reliable independent certified volumetric concrete companies in the United Kingdom.
Using a cheaper, uncertified alternative would leave your project at risk. This is because uncertified cheap concrete usually consists of low strength cement intended for producing mortar. Cheap concrete is usually blended with waste materials including recycled glass, crushed tarmac, sandstone and contaminated low-quality materials. Using cheaper concrete that doesn’t meet the required strength could massively increase the risk of structural weakness for your project.
BSI quality assured concrete is not much more expensive than cheaper alternatives. As a BSI quality assured company, we provide affordable concrete that is reliable and won’t put your project at risk.
Every 6 months, we are audited to confirm our exceptionally high standards are being contained. To add to this, our fleet of volumetric concrete mixers are calibrated every 6 weeks to ensure our concrete is at its best possible standard. At Spot On, we promise to keep the same standards to ensure equal exceptional customer satisfaction.
Concrete Pumping
Concrete pumping is the transportation of freshly mixed concrete to a specific location on site. This could be to the back of a garden, a housing development, a small or large construction project and more. Whenever a considerable amount of concrete is needed for a construction project, concrete pumping is the best option to prevent excessive hours of labouring and unnecessary effort. Concrete pumping can be completed at a multitude of different scales and there are many various ways and methods of the process to be completed.
The cost of concrete pumping depends on the scale of the project and how much concrete is required. If you wish to get a quote from us on the price for the amount of concrete that you need, feel free to contact us and let us know your requirements. There are two types of concrete pumps, boom pumps and boomless pumps:
Boom pumps use a robotic arm to efficiently deliver ready-mix concrete and screed accurately. Boom pumps are best for large construction sites as the robotic arm can reach large heights and depths. Boom pumps are very capable of being able to pump large volumes of concrete at a fast pace.
Boomless pumps or ground pumps are best for smaller projects where concrete is required along the ground. Boomless pumps work by feeding concrete into a pump that runs along the ground to the specific area that it is needed. They are not capable of reaching the heights and depths that boom pumps are capable of.
Here are some of the key main benefits of concrete pumping:
- Saves labour work from being needed
- It is less effort than wheelbarrowing heavy amounts of concrete
- No concrete spillages
- Safer than wheelbarrowing concrete
- Much more accurate
- Your project will be finished much quicker
- It allows more focus on other areas of the project
